FAQS

Find Answers to Common Questions on the VLN system
🛠️ Product Functionality
Q: What is the Vita Load Navigator (VLN)?
A: The VLN is a remote-controlled load stabilisation system that stabalises suspended loads during crane operations. It eliminates the need for taglines, allowing crews to orient and place loads with precision—even in challenging conditions like wind or tight urban sites.
Q: How does a VLN stabilise loads in mid-air?
A: VLN’s use a combination of GPS, advanced motion sensors, real time algorithms and propulsion-based technology to counteract swing and rotation. Operators control the system remotely, adjusting orientation and position with ±1° accuracy.
Q: Can a VLN be used with any crane?
A: VLN’s are compatible with most crane setups. We’ll work with your team to ensure proper rigging and integration for your specific lift plan.
🌬️ Performance & Conditions
Q: What is the Maximum Lifting Capacity of the VLN?
A: The VLN’s Working Load Limit is 40 metric tons across all models. Larger models don’t increase lifting capacity but do provide higher torque output,
Q: Can VLN operate in windy conditions?
A: Yes— VLN’s are engineered specifically to operate safely in high wind speeds (up to 50 km/h), allowing lifts to continue when traditional operations would shut down
Q: How much faster is the VLN compared to traditional lifting?
A: The VLN enables up to 200% throughput gains by tripling panel installs per hour and reducing downtime caused by manual orientation and weather delays.
Q: Does the VLN improve safety on site?
A: Absolutely. By removing taglines and keeping crew out of the drop zone, the VLN significantly reduces risk and fatigue during lifting operations.
📐 Compliance & Certification
Q: Is the VLN compliant with Australian standards?
A: The VLN is structurally certified to ASME BTH-1, which aligns with AS/NZS 4991 for lifting systems. It also complies with BS EN 13155, which guided all testing and analysis procedures for type certification.
📦 Availability & Support
Q: Is the VLN 2.0 available in Australia?
A: Yes— the VLN 2.0 is officially available through Erne Lifting. We offer demos, onboarding, training and support tailored to Australian companies
Q: Where else is the VLN being used?
A: VLNs are already deployed across the United States, Europe, the Middle East (including UAE and Saudi Arabia), and now Australia.
